This research treats the application of Viable Systems Model in the Cooperative Society of Fishing Production and Tourist Services Providing "Yoscocuta" for the realization of alternative tourist activities that lead to the sustainable tourist development of the region.
The Systems Paradigm is used in the face
of the little application viability of the traditional
research methods. Through this paradigm, the study phenomenon is explained but also ac
tions are set to transform the reality. The Systems Paradigm is integrated by diverse models, of which the
Stafford Beer’s Viable Systems Model was chosen because of its properties
of flexibility, adaptability
and application to the social
organizations.
In order to achieve the research objective, a reference and theoretical frame mark was
integrated about the factors that are interrelated with the study object. Later on, we proceeded to the evaluation of the tourist potential to identify the viable segments for
the development of tourist activities, and
starting from the obtained results, a
systemic model was designed. Such model
contemplates the involved parts in the
Cooperative Society improvement in an integral way and propitiates the sustainable
tourist development of the Yosocuta community.
The model was designed considering the
information flows, the organizational
restructuring in function of the diversification of the offer and the internal and
external factors related with the system
.
