RESUMEN: La aptitud clínica es la capacidad para afrontar y resolver problemas clínicos, lo cual implica habilidades como la reflexión, donde se pone en juego el propio criterio. OBJETIVO: Medir la aptitud clínica en SICA, en 69 Médicos Residentes de Urgencias Medico Quirúrgicas en tres sedes del IMSS, del distrito federal. METODOS: Se realizó en estudio, Prospectivo, transversal, observacional, comparativo, Se procedió a evaluar su aptitud clínica, el instrumento de evaluación fue diseñado por un Médico Residente, los cuales fueron sometidos a tres rondas de revisión por médicos 3 especialistas en el área hasta obtener concordancia el cual constaba de 2 casos clínicos reales conformado por 34 ítems , los cuales fueron respondidos con falso, verdadero, no sé, los ítems constaban de 14 verdaderos, 14 falsos, utilizando indicadores que exploran capacidades para la resolución de problemas, situando al residente en la condición de recurrir a su experiencia para ello. El instrumento para medir la aptitud clínica intenta indagar en el criterio del alumno para el manejo de un paciente específico. El instrumento se aplicó en un día a las primeras horas de las jornadas para evitar la fatiga en su resolución, la duración aproximada para su resolución fue de 1 hora. Las opciones de respuesta fueron cierto, falso y no sé, cada acierto sumo 1 punto, cada error resto -1 punto las respuestas no se no sumaron ni restaron. SUMARY: The clinical competence is the ability to confront and solve clinical problems, which involves thinking skills, which brings into play the discretion. OBJECTIVE: To assess the clinical aptitude in SICA, 69 Emergency Physicians Medical Surgical residents at three sites of the IMSS, the federal district. METHODS: This study was conducted, prospective, observational, comparative, and we evaluated their clinical skills, the assessment tool was designed by a resident physician, who were subjected to three rounds of review by medical specialists in the field 3 until agreement which consisted of 2 cases comprised of 34 actual items, which were answered with false, true, no, the items consisted of 12 true, 12 false, using indicators that explore skills for problem solving, placing the resident on condition of using their experience to do so. The instrument for measuring clinical aptitude tries to investigate the student's approach to managing a specific patient. The instrument was applied in one day during the first hours of the days to avoid fatigue in its resolution, the approximate duration for resolution was 1 hour. The response options were true, false and not every hit most 1 point -1 point each remaining error responses are not added or subtracted not.
