D. farinae.
ABSTRACT: Allergic rhinitis is an inflammatory process at the level of the nasal mucosa characterized by an altered immune response to allergens causing hypersensitivity symptoms such as rhinorrhea, nasal pruritus, obstruction, and sneezing. The social impact of allergic diseases has increased muncial level in recent years, affecting the school, work and patient's family. It is estimated that 1 in 5 people in the world occur with the potential risk of developing allergic disease. Allergic rhinitis can prevail to various diseases such as asthma. Allergic diseases are mediated by IgE immune response by binding to specific receptors that certain cells, and being activated upon contact with the allergen, resulting in the release of mediators responsible for allergic symptoms. In the current literature shows different medications for the treatment of allergic rhinitis, most of which are only symptomatic treatment, despite the possible side effects, so it is important to evaluate alternative therapies for the treatment of allergic rhinitis and its possible effects on the levels of IgE's. OBJECTIVE:
Evaluate the effect of autohemotherapy at the point of Zusanli (E36), Feishu (V13) and Geshu (V17) on the levels of total serum IgE in allergic rhinitis patients positive skin test to D. pteronyssinus and D. farinae.
