Abstract:
igual a 1.
ABSTRACT: In this thesis, were studied thin films of cadmium selenide (CdSe) deposited on glass
substrates at constant temperatures of 40, 60 and 80 °C with stoichiometric ratios with
respect to Selenium and Cadmium (Cd/Se) equal to 1. The growth of CdSe thin films was
performed by chemical bath deposition (CBD). The CdSe was formed by reacting solutions
of Cadmium Chloride (CdCl2) and Sodium Selenosulfito (Na2SeSO3) in presence of
Ammonium Hydroxide (NH4OH) as complexing agent and pH regulator.
CdSe films were grown at different times, to a thickness sufficient for the analysis of their
properties. The techniques of characterization of the films were: "X" Ray Diffraction (XRD),
Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) and UV-VIS spectroscopy. The XRD analysis shows that
CdSe films have a cubic crystal structure when formed at low temperatures and mixing
hexagonal and cubic crystal structure with increasing reaction temperature. AFM images
show that the films obtained are of a rough surface with particles of different size and
arrangement, in no particular arrangement, although it is appreciated that there is an
increase in size with increasing temperature. The results of UV-VIS absorption allowed to
calculate the wide band gap value (Eg) of CdSe films, confirming that it can be controlled
by varying the temperature at which the reaction takes place in the chemical bath,
since decreases as temperature increases.
After the deposition of CdSe films, it was add a layer of Calix[n]arene (n = 4, 6 and 8) by
laser ablation (PLD). Infrared Characterization of films was made to confirm that the chemical
structure of Calix[n]arenes is not altered by interaction with laser. AFM images confirm that this
film is Calix[n]arene. Using UV-VIS absorption was obtained wide band gap value of the
bilayer film, as compared to the values of the CdSe film layer is confirmed that the three
Calix[n]arenes causes the shift of the edge of absorption at shorter wavelengths.
