Abstract:
ABSTRACT: The way in which a country develops and consumes energy generates a direct impact on the environment; therefore, there is a responsibility to evaluate and restructure the energy sources used, changes in the energy model have been observed in Mexico, promoting the use of renewable sources; However, this type of source has the difficulty of obtaining energy continuously, in addition to the need to be transported to regions where its ability to install technology is limited. Due to the above, the opportunity to innovate in clean energy storage systems in Mexico is detected, placing the study in wind sources for the great potential in the country, so the objective of the study is to publicize the technological landscape, scientific, economic, commercial and regulatory storage of wind energy through a technological surveillance study, which contributes to the reduction of uncertainty for research centers or industry to invest in this technology in Mexico. The surveillance study was based on the review of information obtained from various sources from five environments: 1) Technological: search and analysis of patents related to technology; 2) Scientist: bibliometric analysis; 3) Economic: analysis of economic indicators of Mexico; 4) Regulatory: review of programs, norms, policies and Mexican laws that intervene in the technology; and 5) Commercial: search for competing organizations and situation of the Mexican market. As a result of the study, it was found that the technology is mainly incorporated into different systems, but the type of storage is based on the existing ones, detecting the opportunity to create something really new; On the other hand, it was observed that the trend of energy demand is increasing every year, generating greater participation in the use of renewable sources, so that regulations in Mexico should be adapted to a new energy system.
