Abstract:
ABSTRACT: San Pedro Ixtlahuaca is a rural municipality located in the State of Oaxaca, one of the most important capitals in the southeast of the country. The proximity to the Metropolitan Zone of Oaxaca (ZMO), has influenced in a substantial way many of the social, economic and territorial processes of the municipality. In spite this condition the municipality does not find the ideal mechanisms and instruments to manage its territory, this with the purpose of establishing the necessary conditions for a possible change in the use of land, for a productive diversification, the sustainable use of their resources and the increase of their local capacities. Therefore, the objective of this research is to expose the instruments of territorial management present in the traditional Mexican framework, to resume and/or reconstruct a methodology in matters of territorial ordering, which allows its implementation in the municipality of San Pedro Ixtlahuaca.
