Abstract:
ABSTRACT:
In this thesis the different behaviors of the vibration frequencies of the axes with different
structural conditions are presented, taking the data from the Impact Test program of the NI
LabVIEW 2014 Software.
The work consists of determining the faults in shafts with damage and comparing them with the
Modal shapes of vibrating shafts with the same characteristics and masses, but without damage
in them to obtain the bifurcations in the natural frequencies of vibrating, this with the sensors
and equipment available in the Laboratory of Vibrations and Rotodynamics of the National
Polytechnic Institute in the Section of Postgraduate Studies and Research of the ESIME
Zacatenco.
Experimental tests were carried out on three steel axes of different lengths and one diameter and
another aluminum axis of different length and diameter than those of steel, both integral and
cracked at 25% and 50% of their diameter, for the experiments of the steel shafts were used
three different steel discs with different masses placed in different points of the axes and were
made in two different support conditions: Free-Free and simply supported.
In order to verify the reliability of the data acquired from the NI LabVIEW 2014 program, the
FRF of these axes was calculated and their theoretical natural modal frequencies were obtained.
