RESUMEN:
La presente investigación hace un acercamiento al impacto en diferentes aspectos socioambientales que genera el cumplimiento de los ámbitos estratégicos establecidos por el Centro Mexicano para la Filantropía (CEMEFI), para otorgar el distintivo “Empresa Socialmente Responsable (ESR)”. El objetivo es investigar la relación existente en las empresas “Grupo Bimbo” y “Grupo Herdez”, entre realizar sus actividades con apego a lo estipulado en los ámbitos estratégicos que las hicieron acreedoras del distintivo “ESR” y el aumento de sus ventas. El trabajo inicia abordando la definición de “socioambiental”, para después exponer que es una empresa, su clasificación y la posible afectación que puede tener en diferentes aspectos socioambientales, que son revisados conceptualmente, para después analizar lo que puede significar que las empresas generen empleos bien remunerados. Parte fundamental de la investigación es la relacionada con la responsabilidad social empresarial, revisándose en que consiste, cuál es la conducta que las empresas socialmente responsables deben observar, y cómo puede influir esa conducta tanto en el posicionamiento de las empresas, como en incidir positivamente en los aspectos socioambientales con los que interactúan. Se expone una síntesis respecto al CEMEFI, y el distintivo “ESR”, además de explicar en qué consisten los ámbitos estratégicos evaluados por dicho centro. La metodología empleada fue conforme a la técnica de estudio de caso, obteniéndose la información requerida de informantes clave dentro y fuera de ambas empresas, así como del análisis de sus informes anuales. Al realizar el análisis de los resultados obtenidos, se observaron los alcances socioambientales que el distintivo “ESR” tiene para las empresas estudiadas, así como la influencia de dicho distintivo en la variación de sus ventas antes y después de obtenerlo y en su posicionamiento en el mercado desde que les fue otorgado.
ABSTRACT:
The present research makes an approach to the impact on different socio- environmental aspects that the fulfillment of the strategic ambits established by the Centro Mexicano para la Filantropía (CEMEFI), to award the badge "Empresa Socialmente Responsable (ESR)" generates. The objective is to investigate the relationship existing in the companies "Grupo Bimbo" and "Grupo Herdez", between carrying out their activities in accordance with the stipulations of the strategic ambits that made them entitled to the "ESR" badge and the increase in their sales. The work starts by addressing the definition of "socio-environmental", to then expose what is a company, its classification and the possible impact it may have on different socio-environmental aspects, which are reviewed conceptually, and then analyze what could it mean that companies generate well paid jobs. A fundamental part of the research is related to corporate social responsibility, reviewing what it consists of, what is the behavior that socially responsible companies must observe, and how this behavior can influence both the positioning of companies, as well as having a positive impact on the socio-environmental aspects with which they interact. A synthesis is presented regarding CEMEFI, and the "ESR" badge, in addition to explaining what the strategic ambits evaluated by this center consist of. The methodology used was in accordance with the case study technique, obtaining the required information from key informants inside and outside both companies, as well as from analysis of their annual reports. When carrying out the analysis of the results obtained, the socio-environmental scopes that the "ESR" badge has for the companies studied were observed, as well as the influence of said badge in the variation of its sales before and after obtaining it and in its positioning in the market since it was granted to these companies.
