Abstract:
ABSTRACT: The analysis and interpretation of geophysical data, for the evaluation in oil fields, is essential because a complete and exhaustive characterization of the field is required, obtaining consistent results that allow the extraction of hydrocarbon and thus be able to make the most of the present resource stored in the subsoil. The purpose of this work is to carry out the petrophysical and seismic characterization of the Cloudspin 3D Field, mainly evaluating two of the hydrocarbon storage horizons located around the Texas-Louisiana Platform, north of the Gulf of Mexico. For the objectives of this project, a methodology consisting of three sections was carried out: 1) seismic evaluation (through the characterization of a 3D seismic cube in depth); 2) well geophysical logs (evaluation of existing wells in the area) and 3) the distribution of properties applied to the northwest of the Field (behavior analysis according to the petrophysical properties extracted from the geophysical logs), where the main horizons to be interpreted they are Kobe and Paris. The results of the analysis and evaluation of the Cloudspin 3D Field are presented by means of a structural model, interpreted geophysical records and simulations of petrophysical properties through a cube, thus determining economically feasible zones and estimates of hydrocarbon volume.
