Abstract:
ABSTRACT: The present work describes the design and construction of an automatic robot useful for conducting basic science research on the effects of radiation during the germination of corn seed and on the seedlings thereof. Specifically, the resulting system useful for detecting the intensity of UV-B (short-wave ultraviolet) and UV-A (long-wave ultraviolet radiation), the finding is between the 320 and 400 nm) incident and its penetration capacity in soil at depths of sowing the seed, it also includes a potassium ion concentration detector that is of interest because it is the main nutrient for corn crops. It is intended that the robot has a useful georeference system for the purpose of research carried out in specific areas that helps to carry out a radiation recording depending on the study area. The robot will consist of a low depth underground drilling mechanism conveniently coupled with a transduction system for the characterization of samples at the site of interest. The robot will be photography via GPS, which allows free movement within a specific terrain. The system contributes to the knowledge of the cultivated soil in the studied region and in the criteria of selection of type of crop favored by the properties related to the parameters detected as humidity and most important types of nutrients in said area.
