Abstract:
ABSTRACT: Artificial lighting creates environments that impact our moods. The perception of a space changes drastically when we use warm or cold light sources, in the same way the uniform light communicates different sensations to us than the accent light. The present work is an investigation that tries to offer a vision of the "culture of light" in the ZMVM, avoiding being left alone with the simplified and utilitarian ideas that we find in books and manuals, on the contrary, it seeks to emphasize and sensitize the role that Artificial Lighting Design plays in Architectural Design.
The necessary parameters for the investigation were obtained through the experiential triangle, since the information can only be obtained through their experiences put to the test in architectural spaces.
One of its objectives will be to show architecture students the behavior of artificial light as a form of visual stimulation, also contemplating the functional aspect in everyday life. Also showing that relating artificial light and color has allowed, over time, to create emotions and sensations as part of the architectural language, considering the elements of visual communication: shape, texture, color and light.
