Abstract:
ABSTRACT: In Mexico there is a high level of insecurity in terms of home burglary crimes, which makes it difficult to have access to a security system due to the high costs of the market. The present project called “ZYPHER” aims to be an efficient and low-cost system that is given the task of satisfying the needs of preserving the integrity and belongings of people due to the fact that it is a security system reinforced by biometric pattern recognition, which makes it more difficult to access due to its unique recognition features. Most of the existing security systems require only a single biometric pattern to get access. The innovation of ZYPHER is that it provides greater user confidence by requiring dual biometric recognition in order to grant access, as well as sending reports on suspected intruders and having greater control over access to the site. In order to have more control of the home and if it is in constant danger, email notifications have been implemented to keep the user informed of access denied and authorised by the system, where data of the possible suspect and date of the event can be displayed. This project is based on three important factors, i) identification, which consists of the recognition of a person before the two biometric patterns used, ii) verification, which consists of the detection of the user who enters the biometric data, iii) authentication, which compares the data input with those in the database in order to gain access for the purpose of get 70% of efficiency regarding these type of systems.
