RESUMEN: Esta investigación se realizó entre 317 consumidores de artesanía de los cuales el 30% son turistas locales, 33% turistas nacionales y el 37% turistas extranjeros. Para la obtención de los datos se utilizó el método de encuestas bajo la modalidad de entrevista estructurada. El objetivo principal consiste en analizar el proceso de aprendizaje del consumidor de artesanías y determinar su influencia en la satisfacción de compra del consumidor en la ciudad de Oaxaca. Para la realización de este trabajo, se partió de la teoría del modelo genérico de socialización del consumidor donde se analizan cinco tipos de variables: variable de la estructura social, variables evolutivas, proceso de aprendizaje, agentes de socialización y las propiedades del aprendizaje, que en esta investigación es la satisfacción de los consumidores de artesanías oaxaqueñas. Para el cumplimiento del objetivo planteado, se realizó el análisis de los diferentes medios masivos de comunicación que los consumidores utilizan para informarse de las características de los productos artesanales, de los agentes de socialización que influyen en la satisfacción del consumidor y de la forma de cómo se asocia el proceso de aprendizaje del consumidor con la satisfacción durante su compra. Las artesanías que más compraron los turistas son las textiles, barro negro y los alebrijes. La artesanía textil y los alebrijes fueron comprados principalmente por el turista extranjero con un rango de edad de 26 a 60 años con estudios de licenciatura y postgrado, a diferencia de la artesanía de barro negro que fue principalmente comprada por turistas locales y nacionales con un rango de edad de 18 años en adelante, predominando, principalmente, los consumidores con estudios de licenciatura y bachillerato. Como resultado del proceso de aprendizaje de los consumidores, se tiene que la interacción con los medios de comunicación dependen, principalmente, del lugar de procedencia de los turistas, el grado de estudios, sexo y edad de los consumidores de artesanías. Así también, conforme a los resultados analizados, se tiene que la interacción de los turistas con los agentes socializadores depende del ingreso, lugar de procedencia del consumidor, la consulta de trípticos e Internet, para conocer acerca de las artesanías y únicamente la satisfacción del turista en la compra de artesanías se ve afectado por la interacción con las personas.
ABSTRACT: This investigation was integrated by 317 consumers of crafts 30% of which are local tourists 33% are national and 37% foreign. For obtaining the data, surveys under the modality of structured interview were used. The primary target consists of analyzing the learning process of the consumer of crafts and determining its influence in the satisfaction of purchase of the consumer in the city of Oaxaca. For the accomplishment of this work, was first considered in which the theory of the generic model of socialization of the consumer where five types of variables are analyzed: variable of the social structure, evolutionary variables, learning process, socialization agents and the properties of the learning, which in this investigation is the satisfaction of the Oaxaca crafts consumers. To accomplish the objective, the analysis of different massive means of communication used by consumers to inquire into the characteristics of artisan products, of the socialization agents that have an impact on the satisfaction of the consumer and the way in which the learning process of the consumer is associated to satisfaction during its purchase. Crafts that tourists bought the most were textiles, black pottery and “alebrijes”. The textiles and “alebrijes” were bought mainly by the foreign tourist with a rank of age of 26 to 60 years with college and graduate studies, unlike black pottery which was mainly bought by local and national consumers with a rank of age of 18 and above, predominating mainly in this consumer the studies of degree and baccalaureate. As a result of the learning process of the consumer, it is found that the interaction with mass media depends mainly on the place of origin of the consumers, their level of education, sex and age. Furthermore, according to analyzed data, it was found that the tourists´ interaction with socializing agents depends on their income, place of origin and brochure and internet based research which allows then to better know about the referred crafts. It is only the tourist purchase satisfaction which is affected by the interaction with the people.
