Abstract:
En este documento se presenta una investigación que indaga sobre los factores
que motivaron a un grupo de mujeres de la Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí a estudiar matemáticas como carrera profesional. El método empleado fue el de las narrativas. Los principales factores detectados que motivaron a estas mujeres a estudiar matemática fueron: se consideraban buenas en matemáticas, les gustaban las matemáticas, recibieron apoyo familiar, fueron motivadas por un profesor, haber participado en concursos de matemáticas y haber descubierto las aplicaciones de la matemática.
Abstract
In this document an investigation that explores the factors that motivated a group of women from the Universidad Autonoma de San Luis Potosí to study mathematics as career is presented. The method used was the narrative . The main identified factors that led these women to study mathematics were : they considered themselves good at mathematics , they used to like mathematics , they have been received family support, they have been motivated by a teacher and they have participated in mathematics competitions and discove red the applications of mathematics .
