Estandarización de gestión ambiental en materia de agua

Abstract

RESUMEN: El sector industrial representa aproximadamente el 4% de las extracciones de agua en México, sin embargo, debido al crecimiento industrial se espera que el aprovechamiento del agua para este uso aumente, aumentando también las tensiones ambientales a las que se somete dicho recurso. Por lo anterior se requiere implementar medidas para reducir el consumo de agua por unidad producida, mejorando de esta forma el uso que se le da al agua industrial. Una herramienta para conseguir lo anterior es la implementación de los Sistemas de Gestión Ambiental, cuyo propósito es ayudar a aprovechar y reciclar el agua, mejorando su calidad y orientándose hacia una producción más limpia, así como el tratamiento del agua, no solo disminuyendo costos de producción, sino también siendo responsables en materia legal, cumpliendo los requisitos legales, es decir, leyes y normas que existen en el país y siendo amigables con el medio ambiente, buscando su cuidado y conservación. En este trabajo se estandarizó el sistema de gestión ambiental en materia de agua de la Compañía Cervecera de Zacatecas, a partir de la identificación de las leyes y normas existentes en México en materia de agua que fueran aplicables a la Compañía y posteriormente la elaboración de un procedimiento estandarizado de dichos requerimientos legales y acciones a realizar, dentro del Sistema de Gestión Ambiental de la empresa. ABSTRACT: The industrial sector represents approximately 4% of water extractions in Mexico, however, due to industrial growth it is expected that the use of water for this use will increase, also increasing the environmental stresses to which this resource is subjected. Therefore, it is necessary to implement measures to reduce water consumption per unit produced, thus improving the use that is given to industrial water. A tool to achieve the above is the implementation of Environmental Management Systems, whose purpose is to help take advantage of and recycle water, improving its quality and focusing on cleaner production, as well as water treatment, not only reducing water production, but also being responsible in legal matters, complying with the legal requirements, that is, laws and regulations that exist in the country and being friendly to the environment, seeking their care and conservation. In this work, the environmental management system in water matters of the Brewing Company of Zacatecas was standardized, based on the identification of the existing laws and regulations in Mexico regarding water that were applicable to the Company and subsequently the preparation of a standardized procedure of said legal requirements and actions to be carried out, within the Environmental Management System of the company.
