Abstract:
ABSTRACT: This work shows the realization of a storage prototype for department stores, which aim is to deliver the clothes that customers have chosen by a mobile app and after that an automated system can send the clothes to the fitting rooms, providing comfortability and an alternative to buy clothes in this establishments. Clothes delivering will be by three subsystems which are part of the complete system, the aims of the subsystems are to store and move the clothes that the store has. By the first subsystem, store employees enter the garment which contains on it a QR code tag which has information about the clothes that are entered. This code will be scanned by an artificial vision system so that the garment can be placed into the warehouse. The second subsystem, has the objective to stock clothes, this subsystem gives a position to the garment and saves the information of it, such as the model and the size, in a database. The last subsystem will take the garments from the warehouse and garments will be handed in the fitting rooms, garments will be selected by an app. System is made up of five functional areas, which works in synergy to satisfy the following tasks: enter, store, and deliver garments. These functional areas are the following: Clothes classification. Saving clothes data. Clothes storage. Visualization and request garments by an app. Clothes handing First functional area will classify the entered garments by an artificial vision system which will scan the QR code tag. This area is part of the entry system where the operator will enter the garments and after pushing a button will start the classification process. In the second functional area, clothes information will be saved in a database, this database will contain different garment parameters like: models, size, gender, photograph, and the position of the garment in the warehouse. It should be noted that whether two garments with the same model are entered, the photograph that was entered for the first time will be used, only changing the size or the quantity of garments of the same model. Third functional area will save and classify clothes in a kind of carousel mechanism whose storage capacity will be at least of 12 garments and those will remain hanged until a customer select them. In fourth functional area, clothes will be viewed and selected by an app. This area consists in a software development for mobile devices, in which users will be able to identify garments which are inside of the warehouse and after that they will be able to choose the wanted size. Once all the garments have been chosen by the user, who only can choose a maximum of six garments, should press an icon on their mobile phone so that the clothes will be handed in the fitting room. Fifth functional area consists of a system made up by motors and mechanisms which take the garments from the warehouse to hand it in the fitting room.
