Determinación del potencial turístico en municipios caso: Ixmiquilpan Hidalgo

Abstract

En la actualidad el turismo se ha convertido en una de las principales actividades económicas a nivel mundial generadora de fuentes de empleo como consecuencia del aprovechamiento de los recursos naturales, culturales, humanos y urbanos, así como de sus servicios e infraestructura pública que configuran el producto turístico de un país, estado o región y los municipios. Por lo anterior y con la finalidad de determinar el potencial turístico del Municipio de Ixmiquilpan, Hidalgo, se realizó el presente trabajo, en éste se señala la importancia de aprovechar los atractivos turísticos de la región, y se presentan ejemplos probados de desarrollo en localidades con potencial turístico; asimismo, se describe la problemática de migración de la población principalmente hacia los Estados Unidos, por lo que a través de este estudio se pretende contribuir a la disminución en la salida de connacionales; por otra parte, se aprecia que los atractivos con los que actualmente cuenta Ixmiquilpan deben potenciarse y vincularse a efecto de crear valor agregado. En el marco metodológico se consideró la importancia del turismo como actividad económica, destacando los conceptos de: producto turístico, desarrollo turístico sustentable y municipio; asimismo se describe ampliamente el sistema de medición que se utilizó en la determinación del potencial turístico en Ixmiquilpan. A través de la aplicación de encuestas a los visitantes a balnearios y a algunas localidades del municipio así como, a los pobladores de Ixmiquilpan, se contó con un panorama general de la situación vigente en la región. Para evaluar el potencial turístico, se aplicó la metodología que se presenta en el fascículo 8 de SECTUR, dentro de los pasos a seguir para la evaluación, se realizó la descripción del sitio de estudio así como, el diagnóstico del mismo a través de la calificación que se asignó a diversos aspectos que conforman los cuestionarios que conforman el instrumento de evaluación. Finalmente se realizó el análisis de las Fortalezas, Oportunidades, Debilidades y Amenazas para determinar el potencial turístico del Municipio.

Nowadays tourism has become one of the most important economic activities worldwide creating employments as a consequence of taking advantage of natural, cultural, human and urban resources, in addition to its services and public infrastructure that form part of the touristic product of any country, state, region or municipality. Due to what told before and with the objective to determine the touristic potential in Ixmiquilpan Municipality, in Hidalgo, this job was elaborated, where the importance of taking advantage of the touris tic attractive of the region is shown, proved examples of local development of touristic areas are also presented whereas the description of the problem of migration to the United States, for the reason why throughout this study it is intended to contribute into the citizens exit diminution; on the other hand, it is noted that the attractive owned by Ixmiquilpan nowadays should be worked out and linked in order to create added value. In a methodological frame the tourism importance was considered as a sustainable activity and community; along with being widely described in the measuring system that was used determining the tourism potential in Ixmiquilpan. Trough surveys application to aquatic parks and other places of the municipality (community, town), and to Ixmiquilpan habitants as well, a general perspective from the nowadays situation in the region was reached. In order to evaluate the touristic potential, the methodology presented in the 8th theme of the SECTUR was applied among the stages that follow for the evaluation, the description of the study site was realized, plus its diagnose throughout the qualification assigned to different features that are part of the evaluating instrument questionnaires’. Finally the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats analysis was done to determine the Municipality touristic potential
