Evaluación de la contaminación generada por el vertido de aguas residuales provenientes de la industria textil en Zinapecuaro, Michoacán

Abstract

RESUMEN: Basado en las constantes manifestaciones de reclamo por parte de la sociedad civil a las autoridades del Municipio de Zinapécuaro, Michoacán y al apoyo solicitado al IPN, el presente estudio analiza las descargas de aguas residuales provenientes de la industria textil instalada en dicho lugar, así como la posible contaminación del suelo. El reclamo de las manifestaciones civiles son encaminadas a que se tomen medidas correctivas en dicha actividad industrial, la que se instaló desde 1997 y desde entonces vierte miles de litros de aguas residuales al suelo, formando pequeños arroyos, los que finalmente desembocan en el río Zinapécuaro y éste a su vez al lago de Cuitzeo . Esta industria se desarrolló con el aval del gobierno estatal, a través de la Comisión para el Desarrollo de Michoacán y específicamente por la Secretaría de Fomento Industrial con la consigna de crear nuevas fuentes de empleo y así abatir el elevado porcentaje de emigración a los E.U. que presenta este Municipio. De los resultados obtenidos se logró establecer que los efluentes poseen valores de metales pesados dentro de la normatividad, no obstante es innegable que existen dichos elementos y por tanto su potencialidad de contaminar; también se determinó que la DBO es el principal contaminante de dichos efluentes. La cabecera municipal tiene una población de casi 15 000 habitantes, la industria textil genera 800 empleos, pero solo 30 de éstos son ocupados por los lugareños, lo que demuestra que la misión de la empresa de generar empleos en la zona de interés se cumplió parcialmente.

ABSTRACT: Based on the constant manifestations of reclamation on the part of the civil society to the authorities of the Municipality of Zinapécuaro, Michoacán and to the support asked for to the IPN, the present study analyzes the originating residual water unloadings of the installed textile industry in this place, as well as the possible contamination of the ground. The reclamation of the civil manifestations is directed to that corrective measures in this industrial activity are taken, the one that settled from 1997 and since then it spills thousands of liters of residual waters to the ground, having formed small streams, those that finally they end at the Zinapécuaro river and this one as well to the lake of Cuitzeo. This industry was developed with the endorsement of the state government, through the Commission for the Development of Michoacán and specifically by the Secretariat of Industrial Promotion with the slogan to create new sources of use and thus to lower the high percentage of emigration to the E.U. that presents/displays east Municipality. Of the obtained results it was managed to establish that the efluentes have values of heavy metals within the normatividad, despite is undeniable that exist these elements and therefore its potentiality to contaminate; also one determined that the DBO is the main polluting agent of efluentes sayings. The municipal head has a population of almost 15 000 inhabitants, the textile industry generates 800 uses, but single 30 of these are occupied by the villagers, which demonstrates that the mission of the company to generate uses in the zone of interest was fulfilled partially.
