In this one work of investigation an application from Geomorphology is developed to the seismic studies that at present some geoscientists “Seismic Geomorphology”. This application occurs through Geomorphology in the three regions of investigation with different geologic origin, and realised with different degree from detail. In each of them the morphogenetic units visualize that are taken of analogous way to geoforms interpreted in the buckets with seismic information. It is possible to mention that also they included geoforms pertaining to the igneous relief, represented by the Basin of Toluca, that although certainly the majority of present hydrocarbons on volcanic rocks comes from sedimentary generating rocks, some volcanic rocks also are generating as the case of recent discovery in the Deep Gulf of Mexico, “Chapopote Volcano”, aspect of interest to be tie to new hydrocarbon deposits. For the accomplishment of Geomorphology in the three regions of investigation the use of tool GIS Systems Information Geographic, was very useful in which the morphometry for each one of the studied regions was obtained, making emphasis that the morphometry is a part of the geomorphology that studies the quantitative characteristics of the forms of the relief, being worth of a series of effective techniques for one better understanding of the same. Of equal way one stands out that for the seismic processing of information, the used tools were OpendTect, Petrel, Landmark, and Geoprobe, that some characteristics of the relief demonstrated with clarity, according to the existing geology of the used area, to the quality of the image obtained in the seismic bucket and to used software. The found morphogenetic units in the geomorphological study of the three regions of investigation, also were identified in the seismic one of some oil river basins in some oil river basins, like fluvial channels, meanders, deltas, talwegs, depressions and slidings, mountain ranges of sediments, etc. can be concluded that geoforms of the terrestrial relief in surface is of certain form homogenous to which they are buried, which favors indeed to the search of probable deposits of hydrocarbons and to its respective exploration. |
