Ciudad, espacio público y ciudadanía en el barrio de Santa María la Rivera

Abstract

RESUMEN: Partiendo del enfoque de proyecto urbano y su unidad de estudio, el barrio, en donde la relación sociocultural de la vida pública se basa en las formas de ciudadanía que en el barrio se presentan, el espacio público se convierte en el lugar donde las expresiones de las diversas formas de participación ciudadana se llevan a cabo. Esta investigación tiene como objetivo explicar dichas prácticas socioculturales en el espacio público de un barrio (colonia Santa María la Ribera), para analizar si existen determinantes del espacio urbano en las formas culturales de participación ciudadana que se expresan en distintos momentos históricos, y de manera inversa, prácticas culturales de participación ciudadana que han determinado el espacio público actual. Para lo anterior, la presente tesis se divide en cuatro capítulos, en donde el primer capítulo parte del estudio teórico sobre los ejes conceptuales, ciudad-cultura y espacio público-ciudadanía. El segundo aborda la historicidad del problema, es decir, contextualizar de manera sociohistórica estos mismos ejes, de acuerdo al caso de estudio, Santa María la Ribera. Como tercer apartado, se presenta el trabajo etnográfico, a través de algunos datos cuantitativos y la descripción de actores, escenarios y regalas encontrada en las visitas. El cuarto apartado es un análisis de los procesos encontrados, de manera sociohistórica, discursiva y territorial, para entonces poder presentar los resultados y conclusiones generales. El presente proyecto de investigación logra la clasificación de las formas de ciudadanía a través de su relación con el espacio público (participación ciudadana legislativa, participación ciudadana independiente y participación ciudadana autogestiva). Es con basé al sistema de organización de prácticas socioculturales de estas categorías que es posible analizar cómo se desarrolla y conforma la red de organización en ellas, a través de la identificación de sus símbolos, códigos y reglas. ABSTRACT: Starting from the approach of urban project and its minimal unit, the borough, where the sociocultural relationship of public life is based on the forms of citizens that are presented in the neighborhood, the public space becomes the place where the various forms of expressions citizen participation carried out. So this research has the objective to explain these sociocultural practices in the public space of a neighborhood (Santa María la Ribera), to analyze whether there are determinants of urban space in cultural forms of citizen participation that are expressed in different historical moments, and inversely, cultural practices of citizen participation that have determined the current public space. With above, this thesis is divided into four chapters, where the first chapter is based on the theoretical study of the conceptual axes, city-culture and public space-citizen. The second deals with the historicity of the problem, contextualizing in a sociohistorical way these same axes, according to the case of study, Santa Maria la Ribera. As third section, the ethnographic work is presented, through some quantitative data and the description of actors, scenarios and rules found in the visits; the fourth section is an analysis of the processes found, in a sociohistorical, discursive and territorial way, in order to present the results and general conclusions. This research project achieves the classification of the forms of citizenship through its relationship with the public space (legislative citizen participation, independent citizen participation, self-management citizen participation and virtual citizen participation). Based on the organization system of sociocultural practices of these categories that it is possible to analyze how it develops and forms the network of organization in them, Through the identification of its symbols, codes and rules.
