Plan estratégico para el desarrollo de un circuito ecoturístico en Santiago Tulantepec Hidalgo.

Abstract

Después de la segunda guerra mundial, el turismo, se convirtió en una actividad importante en el mundo, primero como un turismo de elite en la década de los cincuenta, después en las décadas de los sesentas hasta los ochentas se transformo en un turismo de masas, y posteriormente en los noventas, se ha desarrollado en un turismo segmentado debido a la demanda de nuevas actividades para disfrutar del tiempo libre (SECTUR, s.f. pág. 23) el turismo se ha especializado y una de estas es el turismo alternativo, dentro del cual se puede encontrar al ecoturismo, turismo de aventura y el turismo rural, siendo el ecoturismo el que cuenta con características especiales, como el respeto, fomento y preservación de los recursos naturales y culturales de las comunidades, esto a través de las diferentes actividades que se realizan de manera sustentable, basados en una planeación y gestión eficiente por parte de los diversos agentes sociales que participan en el turismo. El propósito básico y utilidad del presente trabajo es orientar la gestión para el desarrollo de un producto turístico en el municipio de Santiago Tulantepec, a través de un plan estratégico para el desarrollo de un circuito ecoturístico que guíe al municipio, al sector empresarial y a la comunidad para su gestión, dicho planteamiento esta basado en una adaptación de la metodología para la identificación de potencialidades turísticas en regiones y municipios de la Secretaría de Turismo Federal.

After the Second World War, tourism has become an important world activity, first as a massive tourism, and later with a constant evolution based in the new tendencies, decade after decade. Now the tourism is very specialized, caused by the demand of new activities to enjoy the free time. One kind of tourism is alternative tourism, which includes ecotourism, adventure and rural tourism. These kinds of tourism have in common the respect and preservation of the natural and cultural resources of the communities, doing different activities that are performed in a sustainable manner. This can be possible if it is supported by planning and an efficient management of all the social participants in tourism activity. The main goal and principal benefit of this work is to guide the management for develop a tourism product in the municipality de Santiago Tulantepec. A strategic plan was made for create an ecotouristic circuit that will help and improve the benefits for the municipality, business people, and community. The plan was made with an adaptation of the methodology for Identifying the potential tourist regions and municipalities, of the Federal Minister of Tourism in México. Chapter I present the importance of design a strategic plan, who are the participants and their activities have in the development, management and evaluation. Also define the limits of the tourist area, the components of the tourist offer in order to define the municipal potential to develop tourism, according with the activities that can be done depending of the resources found in the inventory. Finally, a description of the meaning of sustainability is presented, that must be included in the strategic plan.
