turismo infantil. Tourism is a national priority that occupies the third place in Mexico regarding incomes. In Mexico there is a need to create new tourism products for the different market segments in addition to educate individuals with a tourist culture so that in the short term future this activity can be developed, and that besides the economic benefits, it can represent a repercussion in personal, emotional and behavioral growth of individuals. Traveling enterprises require to constantly improve according to the market’s needs and demands as well as to create new options for local tourists, since all through heir lives, Mexicans visit an average of five destinations different to where they reside, and this turns out alarming being in a place with a great variety of tourist attractions. The Destination Management Companies (DMC ́S), translated to Spanish as Agencias Locales Integradoras de Viajes (Local Integrating Travel Agencies), in their very beginning were advocated to the congress an conventions market, nowadays with the demand of tourist services of diverse nature, it can be observed that different market nests have been left out and can be taken advantage of, such is the case of child tourism. Considering the needs of this specific population and by means of a market research, a technical and financial study and finally the integral evaluation of the project, the feasibility to create a child tourism specialized DMC was shown. |
