Efecto de la electroacupuntura a corto plazo hipoacusia superficial sensorial

Abstract

RESUMEN: La hipoacusia superficial sensorial es una disminución de la sensibilidad auditiva de origen heterogéneo, donde los cilios auditivos del órgano de Corti están dañados. Justificación. Actualmente en la medicina occidental se carece de tratamiento médico. Objetivos. General.- Mejorar la capacidad auditiva de personas que padecen este tipo de hipoacusia. Específico.- Determinar si la electroacupuntura tiene efecto a corto plazo en la recuperación de la hipoacusia objeto de estudio. Material y método. Se emplea; audiómetro clínico estandarizado MADSEN Electronics modelo MIDIMATE 622; cámara son amortiguada; electroestimulador de corriente alterna modelo B-4S de fabricación mexicana; formatos de audiometría, historia clínica y consentimiento informado; 24 agujas de acupuntura desechables con aplicador, de fabricación china. A cada participante se le efectúa audiometría tonal comparativa pre y post estudio y se aplica una serie de tres sesiones de electro- acupuntura. Resultados. Se determina el efecto de la electroacupuntura a corto plazo de los puntos Tinngong ( ID 19), Yifeng ( SJ 17), Waiguan ( SJ 5) y Taixi ( R 3) en el tratamiento de la hipoacusia superficial sensorial, en un grupo de 12 voluntarios compuesto de 11 mujeres y un hombre, con edad promedio de 48.6 años de edad y 2.8 años de evolución, referidos del servicio de Audiología del Centro Médico Nacional 20 de Noviembre del ISSSTE, durante el verano. Se obtienen ganancias promedio de decibeles post estudio del 60%, lo que resulta una escala de mejoría. Conclusiones. Se establece una metodología para el tratamiento de la hipoacusia superficial sensorial con electroacupuntura a corto plazo. Por medio de la prueba no paramétrica de t de Wilcoxon, se obtiene efecto estadístico significativo con una p = 0.011 en oído derecho y p = 0.007 en oído izquierdo. El tamaño de muestra se determinó a través del paquete EPISTAT por medio de la diferencia de varianzas de muestras dependientes valor beta del 90% y alfa del 95%, dando 10 pares de datos suficientes para establecer la independencia del azar.

Is determined the effect of the electroacupuncture in the short term of the Tinngong (ID19), Yifeng (SJ17),Waiguan (SJ5) and Taixi (R3) points in the Sensorial Superficial hypoacusis treatment, in a group of 12 volunteers compound by 11 women and 1 man, with average age of 48.6 years of age and 2.8 years of evolution, referred from the audiology service of the National Medical Center “20 de Noviembre” of ISSSTE, during the summer. Obtaining average profit of decibels post study of 60%, that results an improvement scale. Conclusions. Is establish a methodology for the Sensorial Superficial Hypoacusis treatment with electroacupuncture in the short term. By means of the not parametric test of t of Wilcoxon, significant statistic effect is obtained with a p= 0.011 in the right ear and p= 0.007 in the left ear. The sample size was determined through the EPISTAT package by means of the difference of variances of dependent samples beta value of 90% and alfa of 95%, giving 10 pairs of enough information to establish the independence of the random.
