Prevalencia del conocimiento y uso de la acupuntura en la ciudad de Veracruz

Abstract

RESUMEN: En el IPN se imparte la acupuntura como diplomado a partir de 1986 y como especialidad desde 1994. La acupuntura es una terapia oficial abalada por la Norma Oficial Mexicana de Acupuntura. Objetivo: Estimar el porcentaje de la población en la ciudad de Veracruz que conoce y utiliza la acupuntura como método terapéutico. Metodología: Se aplicaron encuestas por vía telefónica seleccionando por abecedario después de realizar nuestra muestra por método de AGEB con un tamaño de muestra de 350 encuestas. Resultados: Características generales de la población estudiada, estudiantes, amas de casa comerciantes jubilados y desempleados. Se efectuaron 350 entrevistas telefónicas de las cuales se lograron 350 (70%) entrevistas completas, la tasa de no respuesta fue de 150 (30%) . Conclusiones: En la ciudad de Veracruz conocen la acupuntura el 70% de los encuestados y la usan el 11.5%. La mayoría de los encuestados son estudiantes universitarios.

ABSTRACT: In the IPN acupuncture like graduate is distributed as of 1986 and like specialty from 1994, acupuncture is distributed of official way like an official norm from 7de May of the 2002. OBJECTIVE: to consider % of the population in the city of Veracruz that knows and uses acupuncture like therapeutic method. METHODOLOGY: surveys by telephone route were applied selecting by alphabet after making our sample by method of AGEB with a size of Sample of 350 surveys. General RESULTS characteristic of the studied population, student’s retired and unemployed trading housewives. 350 telephone interviews took place of which 350 (70%) interviews were obtained Complete, the rate of answer was not of 150 (30%) CONCLUTIONS: In Veracruz City, use acupuncture 11.5 % of the people, and have the know of this therapy the 70 %.
