ABSTRACT: The following work presents the petroseismic integration of the Cloudspin field, which is located in the northern Gulf of Mexico and southern United States, near the Mississippi River wetland. The field has a great oil interest. Therefore, the information tends to be confidential. Based on the seismic and petrophysical interpretation, a characterization of the Cloudspin field is obtained to determine zones of energy interest. Both methodologies mentioned were carried out with the help of PETREL® software for 3D seismic interpretation and petrophysical integration, and IP® software for petrophysical interpretation of 22 wells. All this process was done considering the geology of the field, which was mostly clayey sands, belonging to the Cenozoic era, Paleogene period. Finally, when the zones of greatest interest were located, a geostatistical simulation was developed with the help of SGeMS® software to obtain a cube model of petrophysical properties with greater detail of the interpreted data. Four models were made regarding to four petrophysical properties such as water saturation (SW), oil saturation (SO), effective porosity (PHIE) and clay volume (VCL). |
