Abstract:
ABSTRACT: In the present thesis work, some algorithms are developed using metaheuristics for the prediagnosis of breast cancer by classifying mammograms using segmentation algorithms.
Different metaheuristics were implemented and tested for this thesis work. Finally an algorithm based on artificial immune systems was implemented for classification tasks of breast cancer. This algorithm is based on generating populations and evaluating their performances in order to classify the training set in such a way that they achieve a better performance after an adjustment.
This work also presents an algorithm based on populations and specifically inspired in the behavior of bats for segmentation tasks in mammography images. This algorithm explores the pixels in order to find the greatest dispersion between the pixels of different group and the least dispersion among the pixels of the same group.
The purpose of this work is to create an algorithm that correctly classifies the patterns in a database of breast cancer, as well as an algorithm that performs mammography segmentations.
