Abstract:
ABSTRACT: The technical feasibility for lithium bioleaching was analyzed by means of the Fasarium sp strain and the Simplicillium Sp, from cell pone waste batteries, analyzing the effect that temperatura an agitation have on te recovery of Li. To do this, 3 kg of battery were collected and subsequently disassembled to then carry out the comminution process to increase the contact area of the material to be recycled, and after the comminution process, a sampling of the total batteries was carried out, with wich The obtained representative samples for the entire experimental process. In order to determine the initial raw material law, a digestión with royal water was performed and the lithium law was determined to be 2.96% by weight. The strains were recultured in a solid medium: Bacidius Pata, Fusarium sp and Simplicillium Sp, were isolated, and in order to obtain organic leaching agents thes were recultured in a liquid medium. A study of the pH of the culture medium produced was carried out and it was determined that between day 12 an 15 of fungal growth, the most suitable organic leaching agent for leaching is obtained. Leaching experiments were carried out with the organic acid produced by the fungi in a medium with stirring, thus varying the type of strain that produces said leathing agents. Samples were taken for one hour in order to analyze the recovery behavior with respect to time. It was determined that the satrain with which the greatest recovery is obtained from its organic acid for bioleaching, is the Fusarium sp strain, compared to the Simplicillium Sp strain, because the Fusarium sp strain recovered up to 24% in contrast to the acid produced by the Simplicillium Sp strain whose maxium recovery reached 17%. Subsequently, the strain that had the greatest recovery was chosen and with the acid produce don day 12 of growth, another leaching was performed, in a medium with stirring and temperature, in order to increase the % recovery. The experiments performed were at different times and temperatures. Finally, the strain was cultivated with a certain amount of ground battery in the reactor, and the recovery was studied with stirring and without stirring, the study time was one month, in a room with cotrolled temperature. It was found that the fungus absorbs minimal amountsof lithium, and that 95% of recovered lithium is in solution.
