Abstract:
ABSTRACT: This project consists of designing, building and implementing a prototype of a zoomorphic robot inspired by a red-eared turtle, which moves on the surface of the water emulating the locomotion of that animal using the Hoekens mechanism in each fin, in the same way, the structure is designed based on its anatomy, and manufactured in 3D printing. The prototype has an artificial vision system to carry out the tracking of trajectories, which includes applying image processing techniques to segment and later identify signs placed on floating buoys, in addition, its task is to clean the surface of non-turbulent aquatic ecosystems, through the collection and storage of solid waste, organic and inorganic that are in its path. All the processes necessary for its operation are carried out on board the robot, for that reason is necessary to use a processing card that is in charge of analyzing the images and controlling the prototype movements, this making its operation autonomous, that is to say that the interaction with the user is only for the discharge of the stored waste.
